The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is an emotionally heartfelt book set in the 1940s during WWII, seen through the eyes of nine year old Bruno, a soldier's son. This story is an inspiring classic, a story of childish innocence in a time of harsh Nazi beliefs that have been drilled into Bruno. But everything changes when he discovers the Jewish side of the war, becoming a child naively conflicted. This is an incredible book that will stay in my heart forever, but the themes can be severe so I rate this book 5/5 for ages 12+.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is about a boy named Bruno who lives near a Jewish prison. He meets a boy who is Jewish. They become friends and help each other out. The Jewish boy lost his father in the prison and Bruno offers to help him. He ends up getting mixed in the crowd. It’s an action-packed, and emotional adventure which I highly recommend. I rate this book a ⅘ and recommend this book for ages 8-14.
