04/09/2020This book is about a 12-year-old girl named Stephanie who, when her uncle dies, inherits his house. At her uncle's funeral she meets a mysterious man named Skulduggery pleasant, he is secretly a spy and he has powers. Skulduggery pleasant takes Stephanie under his wing and teaches her powers, they work together to try and stop the evil gods from rising again. I give this book a 5/5 rating because it is sarcastic, it has dark humour in it, Stephanie is a really relatable character (apart from the fact that she is magic) and it’s quite gruesome. I recommend this book for ages 11 and up, I would say the genre is a bit of horror, mystery, adventure, fantasy and action.
